Prepare Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) for the OSCE that will be administered by the College of Nurses of Ontario( CNO) through the Touchstone Institute.

Reviews of the nursing practice standards and guidelines students will learn to effectively demonstrate and communicate in the areas of client interactions, ethics, professionalism, language proficiency and comprehension. |

Discuss the human body systems, pathophysiology of common health issues and the nursing management required to ensure patient safety and wellbeing. |

Train students with physical assessment, mental health assessment and history taking. |

Develop communication skills and enhance critical thinking abilities through actual clinical scenario trainings and simulations. |

Apply advanced knowledge acquired in the course and integrate it when providing care to the acutely/chronically ill patients and their significant others in OSCE simulation with standardized patient. |
