Nursing Procedures is a 5-day training course that focuses on the following skills: blood transfusion, central venous access device (CVAD) management, urinary catheter insertion, wound care, ostomy care and tracheostomy/oral/endotracheal suctioning. Clinical skills will be performed and demonstrated on a life size mannequin under the supervision of highly qualified instructors.

At the completion of the course, students will be able to:

Understand the various nursing skills and their significance in clinical practice
Correctly identify and manage complications related to nursing procedures and clinical conditions
Safely perform the following nursing skills using proper techniques:
CVAD care
Nasogastric tube insertion and care
Urinary catheter insertion and care
Suctioning (tracheostomy, oral and endotracheal)
Ostomy care

This is a five-day course.

Please note with groups of 5 or more we could create a class any day starting as early as 9am and ending as late as 9pm.

Prerequisite:
Students must be Registered Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses or other healthcare professions which practice
(Nursing Procedures) within their scope of work.
